What to do if I accidentally sent the wrong token to my Wello wallet (on BSC)?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Wello only supports USDC deposits on the BNB Chain (BSC network). If youโ€™ve accidentally sent a different token (like USDT, BUSD, etc.) or used an unsupported network, the funds will not appear in your wallet.

Can I recover the funds?

Yes โ€” in most cases, you can recover unsupported tokens by manually exporting your Wello wallet to a third-party wallet that supports custom tokens.

How to recover tokens sent in error:

  1. Open the Wello app

  2. Go to Profile > Wallet Settings > Export Private Key

    • โš ๏ธ Make sure to store your private key securely and never share it

  3. Open a trusted third-party wallet like MetaMask

  4. Switch the wallet to the BSC network

  5. Import your Wello wallet using the private key

  6. You should now see the unsupported token (e.g., USDT)

  7. Transfer the token to a wallet or platform that supports it

๐Ÿ” Stay Secure

  • Never share your private key โ€” Wello will never ask for it

  • Only export your wallet on a secure, trusted device

  • Wello cannot recover funds sent using unsupported tokens or networks
