Wello Ramp allows users in supported regions to buy crypto instantly using mobile money services such as M-Pesa and Airtel Money.
Before you start:
Make sure your Wello account and wallet address are verified.
Confirm that your country and mobile-money provider are supported.
Ensure you have enough balance (including transfer fees).
Buy with M-Pesa (Kenya)
Steps
Open Wello Ramp on the partner platform or from your Wello app.
Choose Buy Crypto → select your preferred coin (e.g., USDC, USDT).
Enter the amount in KES and tap Continue.
Check your wallet address.
Under the Payment Method, select M-Pesa.
Enter your phone number.
Enter your M-Pesa PIN to authorize the payment.
Review the amount.
Once the payment is verified, your crypto will be delivered to your linked wallet.
You will receive an email confirmation once the transaction is successful.
Note:
Payment confirmation usually takes 1 - 5 minutes.
Double-checking the reference code = wrong entries may delay your crypto delivery.
Some M-Pesa wallets have daily limits (often KES 500,000), 250,000 per transaction limits; split large purchases if needed.
Save your transaction receipt for reference.
Buy with Airtel Money (Uganda)
Airtel Money lets you purchase crypto directly using your mobile wallet - no need for a bank card or account. With Wello Ramp, you simply send funds from your Airtel Money balance to the provided merchant number or payment link. Once confirmed, your crypto is automatically transferred to your linked wallet within minutes.
Steps
Open Wello Ramp from the partner platform or directly in your Wello app.
Select Buy Crypto → choose your coin (e.g., USDC, USDT).
Check your wallet address and tap Continue.
Enter the amount of crypto you want to and tap continue.
Under Payment Method, choose Airtel Money.
Enter your Airtel phone number.
Review the amount on your screen and confirm the transaction and wait until the process is done, remember to NOT refresh the page.
Once your payment is verified, your purchased crypto will be sent to your linked wallet.
You’ll receive an email confirmation once your transaction is complete.

Always check the payment details displayed on Wello Ramp before sending funds.
Keep your Airtel transaction ID handy in case of any issue.
