Tie in products are used for things like bundles or gift baskets where multiple products get grouped together. Instead of choosing the individual components of the bundle during the transaction, you can use a tie-in product instead to make things easier. Here’s an example.

Let’s say you want to make a triple sampler cookie bundle that sells your three best selling cookie flavors at a slight discount.

To do this, you add a product for this bundle (the bundle itself being the new product), enter in the name, category, and selling and purchase price like usual.

Then click on Tie-in to product at the bottom.

Here, you'll be able to add the products that are tied into the bundle and also specify their quantities.

Simply choose the product from the drop-down menu and specify the quantity. After specifying the details for the first tied-in product, click on Add.

If you wish to add more tied-in products, click on Tie-in to product once again and repeat the process.

Once done, you'll see all the tied in products and their quantities like this.

Once you're happy, you can save the product. Now, every time you sell one of these bundles, we'll automatically deducts the specified quantities for the tied-in products in your inventory!
