Can I use the Ratings feature in place of the Talent Snapshot?
Yes, the Talent snapshot feature uses a standard set of criteria and the Ratings feature is designed to give organisations more flexibility and create their own set of criteria and scoring systems.
WeThrive can switch off Talent Snapshot and switch on the Ratings feature.
One thing to note is that the Talent Snapshot submissions roll up to into Risk and Recognition statistics on Admin and Manager homepages. The Ratings submissions are completely customisable so do not do this.
What scoring can I use when creating my ratings?
When creating the set of ratings, each item can be completely customised and can be either:
Sliding scale (select your max score and your labels, all start from 0 - e.g. 0-5, 0-10)
Radio buttons (e.g. options of 1-5 or text options)
Multiple choice
Free-text (although please note comment boxes will automatically appear underneath any of the above question types so you do not need to add this type to allow users to leave comments underneath scores)
Can I include ratings when setting up a performance review survey to send to employees?
Yes, include a second page in your performance review survey during the set up - steps on how to do this here.
Can I send a set of ratings to employees without including as part of a larger performance survey?
Yes, if you'd rather send the ratings to employees on their own, you can do this from the Ratings page using the Send Ratings button.
How can I see an employee's self-ratings?
Employee ratings can be viewed from the Review > Ratings page. Here, you can search for an employee in the list and view the ratings given.
Note: Employee are hidden to managers until the manager has completed their own assessment of the employee against the same criteria. Once the manager submits their own ratings, the employee's ratings will become visible to the manager.
The employee's ratings are hidden from managers in the first instance to reduce bias whilst completing.
How do managers rate employees?
Managers can rate their their team members from the Reviews > Ratings drop down. On this page they can view all of the sets of ratings that have been sent to their team members. Steps for how to give manager ratings here.
Are manager ratings visible to the employees?
Manager ratings will be visible to the employee unless the admin that created the set of ratings has specified that certain items be hidden from the employee's view.
If the manager's ratings have been hidden from view, a note will pop up underneath the item when the manager is completing to let them know the rating will not be visible to the employee.
What are agreed ratings?
Agreed ratings are decided on by the employee and manager once they have both given their own assessments of the criteria. The agreed set of ratings can be discussed during 1:1s and are completed by the manager user.
Can managers create their own sets of ratings?
Currently, no. The ratings are created by admin users only. However, managers can send these admin-created ratings to their own team members.
Can I export ratings from the system?
For the first release, this was not included and ratings cannot be exported. However, if it is a piece of functionality you would like to see, please raise this with your Account Manager. The more demand there is, the more likely it is to be added to the product roadmap.
