WeThrive runs using both AWS and Django.
Support for Django 4.2 (the version of Django that WeThrive was built with) is ending. Therefore, the version has been upgraded to Django 5.2, which will be supported until April 2028.
One of the ICO’s key statements for GDPR compliance is: “we have put in place basic technical controls such as those specified by established frameworks like Cyber Essentials” which states that you must “keep your devices and software up to date.” This includes frameworks such as Django. Therefore, the upgrade also ensures WeThrive remains GDPR compliant.
