When running an engagement survey, you have the option to add some of your own custom questions to the end of the survey. We've improved the flexibility of these results and segmentation options so you can cut and slice your custom question results in the same way you can for the results accessed within the platform.
Previously, you could only export the results to custom question results grouped by the data shown in your first filter - usually named the 'Team' filter. The export also did not maintain the ordering of the questions, or organise free-text comments, so it was difficult to read.
What's changed?
Before exporting from the Settings > Export area of your account, choose how you want to 'group' the results, and apply any filters, for example:
In the below example, the results will be grouped into 'Teams' and will only show the teams within the 'Bristol' location. Once segment/filter options have been selected, click the 'Custom question data download' link and the results will automatically be filtered using your chosen settings.
For anonymous survey results, any segments of employees with less than 4 completions will not appear as their own columns but do contribute to the overall scores (works in exactly the same way as the engagement results available online).
The order the questions were asked within the survey are maintained within the export.
Comments are properly grouped together underneath each segment of employees.
When surveys are run non-anonymously, comments are only available to view at a group-level e.g. organised by Team, Location, Department etc.
