Keeping your content up to date is one of the most important steps to maintaining a reliable knowledge base. In Whale, you can set review intervals for playbooks and assign experts to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and training materials stay accurate and actionable over time.
By setting content reviews, your team ensures documentation is never forgotten, ownership is distributed effectively, and continuous improvement becomes part of your workflow.
✅ Keep content relevant — Outdated SOPs and procedures lose their value. Reviews keep them fresh and useful.
🧠 Distribute responsibility — Assigning subject-matter experts spreads the workload to those who know the content best.
📣 Drive engagement — Regular reviews keep documentation top of mind for teams, increasing adoption and accuracy.

Step 1: Open your playbook settings
You can set a review interval when:
Creating a new playbook

.
Step 2: Assign a playbook expert
In the pop-up:
Choose an expert who is responsible for reviewing and updating the content
Set a review interval (e.g., every 3 months, 6 months, etc.)
🧠 Only experts will receive reminders to review playbooks they’re assigned to.
