Settings → Practice holds the headline facts about your clinic — its name, contact details, and address. These details belong to the whole practice: everyone on your team sees the same information, and Whippet pulls it into documents it generates for you, most notably client letters. If you use a letterhead, keeping these details accurate means your correspondence shows the right name, address, and contact information — see Setting up your letterhead for the letterhead designer itself.
What you can edit here
The Practice page has one card with these fields:
Practice Name and Phone Number (for example,
0412345678) — the only required fields.Website — your clinic's web address. Use the full address, including the
https://prefix (for example,https://example.com).Street Number, Street, City, State and Post Code — your address.
The Website and address fields can be left blank if they don't apply. At the top of the card you'll also see your practice logo preview and an Upload logo button — see Adding your practice logo for uploading or changing it.
Edit any of the fields, then click Update practice to save.
Who can change them
These are practice-wide settings, so a change here affects everyone in your clinic, not just you. To update your own name, see Editing your profile. To add colleagues or change what they're allowed to do, see Managing your team in Settings.
If something goes wrong
The Update practice button is greyed out. You haven't changed anything yet — edit a field and it will become active.
You can't save and a field shows a red message. Practice Name and Phone Number can't be empty. Fill them in and the error clears.
The button says Saving… and nothing else happens. The save is in progress — give it a moment.
You see "Failed to load practice". The page couldn't fetch your details. Refresh the page and try again.
A save error appears below the button. Check your connection and click Update practice again.
What this doesn't do (yet)
Edit your personal name here. Your own name lives on your profile — see Editing your profile.
Manage team members here. Adding users and setting roles is a separate area — see Managing your team in Settings.
