Tips and Best Practices
Use Total Credits by Day to spot unusual spikes in messaging volume.
Use Messages by User to understand which team members are sending the most messages.
Use Messages by Channel to compare usage across phone numbers, inboxes, or messaging channels.
Compare SMS vs MMS when investigating higher credit usage, since MMS messages can use credits differently than SMS.
Review Outbound vs Inbound to understand whether usage is mostly driven by sent messages or received replies.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Possible Cause | Fix |
Usage looks higher than expected | MMS, longer messages, or high-volume channels may be using more credits | Review SMS vs MMS and Messages by Channel |
A user does not appear in Messages by User | The user may not have sent messages during the selected period | Expand the date range or clear channel filters |
A channel does not appear in Messages by Channel | The channel may not have usage in the selected period | Expand the date range or check a different channel |
The chart shows no data | The selected date range or channel filter may not contain usage | Clear filters or choose a broader date range |
Exported data does not match what you expected | Filters may still be applied | Confirm the selected date range and channel filter before exporting |
