What These Messages Do
The beginning and ending messages shape the caller’s experience. The beginning message introduces your business, sets expectations, and builds trust. The ending message closes the conversation on a professional note, ensuring customers know what happens next.
How to Edit Messages in Whippy
1. Log into Whippy
In the left menu, go to Agents → Agents.
Find the agent you want to update, then click Edit Agent.
2. Edit Beginning Message
Under Agent Instructions, locate the Begin Message field.
Enter a short, clear greeting. Example:
“Hi, this is Abby from Express Employment in Albuquerque. I’m here to help you with your job application today.”
3. Edit Ending Message
Scroll down to the End the call by saying field.
Enter a professional closing. Example:
“Thank you for your time. We’ll review your application and be in touch soon. Have a great day!”
4. Save & Test
Click Save and use Preview Agent to run a test call, or call it directly from your phone to test.
Best Practices
Keep both messages 15–20 seconds max.
Always include your business name.
Match your brand’s tone (friendly, professional, upbeat).
