Working with the Whiteboard in Barton lessons

Learn how to use the Whiteboard with your students for spelling words, phrases, and sentences.

Whizzimo provides a blank whiteboard for the "spelling on paper" parts of a Barton lesson. There are several different ways to interact using the Whiteboard. The typing tool, the marker, stamps, and more! The most common item you will use is our moveable, easy-to-use typing tool so your student can spell words, phrases, and sentences right before your eyes!

Typing

Type on the page using the keyboard icon.

Click Typing to open the typing tool.

Select the place on the page where you need to type and begin typing.

Use the text box icons to change font size, delete or expand the box.

Press enter to go to the next line inside your text box when needed.

Once typing begins, you can make the box longer. This is especially important for spelling phrases and sentences.

πŸ’‘ Click the pointer icon when you don't want any typing or marking on the screen. The pointer is a good natural place to go if needed!

Marker

Draw, circle, and highlight content on the page.

Click the Marker Options icon.

Select a color from the menu. You can adjust line thickness and more.

Start drawing on the page.

Word Frames/Stamps

Use stamps on the whiteboard to congratulate your student or play a game!

Click the Stamp Options icon. Choose a color.

Select a stamp and color from the menu.

Click on the page to place your stamp.
