How to Create a Binance API Key for Wick Hunter

To automate your trades on Binance through Wick Hunter, you need to create an API key and connect it to your account.

Updated over a week ago

Step 1: Log in to Your Binance Account

Step 2: Create a New API Key

  • Under the Create API section, choose System-Generated API

  • Enter a label like WickHunter

  • Click Create API

Binance will prompt you for 2FA verification (email + authenticator app). Complete the security checks to continue.

Step 3: Set API Key Permissions

Once your API key is created, update the permissions:

  • ✅ Enable:

    • Enable Reading

    • Enable Spot & Margin Trading

    • Futures

  • 🚫 Do not enable:

    • Withdrawals

    • Any other unnecessary permissions

Wick Hunter only requires read and trade access for Spot and/or Futures.

Step 4: Restrict Access to Wick Hunter IPs

To improve security, you can restrict API access to Wick Hunter’s IP addresses.
Contact support or refer to Wick Hunter’s documentation for the most up-to-date IP allowlist.

Step 5: Save Your API Key & Secret

  • You will see two values:

    • API Key

    • API Secret

  • Copy both immediately and save them securely—your Secret is only shown once

Step 6: Connect to Wick Hunter

Now head over to Wick Hunter:

  1. Click Connect Exchange

  2. Select Binance

  3. Choose Manual Connect

  4. Enter your API Key, Secret, and give it a name

  5. Click Connect

You're Connected!

You’re now ready to trade through Binance using Wick Hunter’s automation tools, bots, and strategies.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Make sure Spot & Margin Trading permission is enabled

  • Disable withdrawal access for security

  • If using IP restrictions, verify the IP addresses are correct

  • Your Binance account must be fully verified (KYC) for API access
