Sending crypto with Wickie is straightforward and secure, whether you’re using the mobile app or the web version. Below you’ll find simple, clear guidance for both.
📱 Sending crypto via the Wickie app
This is the most common and fastest way to make a crypto transfer.
Tap Payments
Select Send money
Choose Crypto
Pick the cryptocurrency you want to send
Enter the amount and tap Continue
Select My wallet
(This is currently the only available option due to regulatory requirements.)Add the recipient’s (your own) wallet address
You can type the address digits manually (Mistake risk)
You can copy and paste the address (Medium secure)
Or you can scan the wallet’s QR code (Most secure)
In the Payment destination field, enter:
Your full name, and
The destination wallet provider (e.g. Ledger, Exodus, OneKey)
Review the transaction details carefully
Tap Confirm and approve the transfer with two-factor authentication
Once confirmed, the transaction is sent to the blockchain for processing.
🌐 Sending crypto via the web version
The flow is slightly different on web, but the logic stays the same.
Go to Payments & Transfers
Select Crypto
Choose the cryptocurrency you want to send
Enter the amount you want to send
Select My wallet
(This is currently the only available option due to regulatory requirements)Enter the recipient’s (your own) wallet address
You can type the address digits manually (Mistake risk)
You can copy and paste the address (Medium secure)
Or you can scan the wallet’s QR code (Most secure)
In the Add description field, provide:
The recipient’s (Yours) full name
The wallet provider name (e.g. Ledger, Exodus, OneKey)
(Without this information, the transaction will not be accepted)
Double-check all details
Click Continue
Confirm the transaction using two-factor authentication
After confirmation, the transfer is processed on the blockchain. Processing times depend on network activity.
🔐 Very important: first transfer to a private wallet
If you’re sending crypto to your private wallet for the first time, Swiss regulations require the wallet to be whitelisted before the transfer can go through.
To whitelist a wallet:
Initiate the transaction in a regular way
Follow further instruction sent you by email

Important things to keep in mind
Always double-check the wallet address — crypto transactions are irreversible
Make sure you have enough balance to cover the amount and fees
