Sending crypto with Wickie is straightforward and secure, whether you’re using the mobile app or the web version. Below you’ll find simple, clear guidance for both.

📱 Sending crypto via the Wickie app

This is the most common and fastest way to make a crypto transfer.

  1. Tap Payments

  2. Select Send money

  3. Choose Crypto

  4. Pick the cryptocurrency you want to send

  5. Enter the amount and tap Continue

  6. Select My wallet
(This is currently the only available option due to regulatory requirements.)

  7. Add the recipient’s (your own) wallet address

    • You can type the address digits manually (Mistake risk)

    • You can copy and paste the address (Medium secure)

    • Or you can scan the wallet’s QR code (Most secure)

  8. In the Payment destination field, enter:

    • Your full name, and

    • The destination wallet provider (e.g. Ledger, Exodus, OneKey)

  9. Review the transaction details carefully

  10. Tap Confirm and approve the transfer with two-factor authentication

Once confirmed, the transaction is sent to the blockchain for processing.

🌐 Sending crypto via the web version

The flow is slightly different on web, but the logic stays the same.

  1. Go to Payments & Transfers

  2. Select Crypto

  3. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to send

  4. Enter the amount you want to send

  5. Select My wallet
(This is currently the only available option due to regulatory requirements)

  6. Enter the recipient’s (your own) wallet address

    • You can type the address digits manually (Mistake risk)

    • You can copy and paste the address (Medium secure)

    • Or you can scan the wallet’s QR code (Most secure)

  7. In the Add description field, provide:

    • The recipient’s (Yours) full name

    • The wallet provider name (e.g. Ledger, Exodus, OneKey)
(Without this information, the transaction will not be accepted)

  8. Double-check all details

  9. Click Continue

  10. Confirm the transaction using two-factor authentication

After confirmation, the transfer is processed on the blockchain. Processing times depend on network activity.

🔐 Very important: first transfer to a private wallet

If you’re sending crypto to your private wallet for the first time, Swiss regulations require the wallet to be whitelisted before the transfer can go through.

To whitelist a wallet:

  • Initiate the transaction in a regular way

  • Follow further instruction sent you by email

👉 For full step-by-step instructions, click the button below to start the wallet whitelisting process.

Important things to keep in mind

  • Always double-check the wallet address — crypto transactions are irreversible

  • Make sure you have enough balance to cover the amount and fees

  • You can find current fees in Explore → Fees

  • In some cases, we may request additional information to comply with Switzerland regulation requirements
