What's OKX Wallet
OKX Wallet is a non-custodial wallet that allows you to store and manage your cryptocurrencies securely and conveniently.
💡 What’s a non-custodial wallet? It is a type of cryptocurrency wallet that allows you to have full control over your funds. This is in contrast to a custodial wallet, where a third party (a bank or an exchange) holds the user’s wallet keys and manages their funds on their behalf.
OKX Wallet supports 40+ networks including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon and more. It is available on many devices (iOS, Android and web extension) and protects users’ identity with a seed phrase to help users more securely and conveniently manage assets on multiple networks.
💡 What’s a seed phrase? A seed phrase is a list of words that are used to generate a private key for a cryptocurrency wallet. It is usually 12-24 words long and is used to recover your wallet if you lose your device or forget your password. It is important to never share your seed phrase with anyone. If someone has access to your seed phrase, they can access your wallet and transfer your funds to wherever they want.
Create a new OKX Wallet or add an existing wallet
How to create a new wallet
1.1. Open the OKX App, switch to Wallet and select Create a wallet.
1.2. Create a strong password.
1.3. Back up your seed phrase (also known as recovery phrase or backup password).
How to import an existing wallet
If you already have a wallet, you can import an existing wallet into OKX Wallet using your wallet's seed phrase or private key.
2.1. Tap Import wallet and select seed phrase or private key.
2.2. Enter your seed phrase or private key.
2.3. Go to the Set password page, enter your password, and confirm to complete importing.
Buy $WIFI using OKX Wallet
3.1. Click Trade to access the DEX page.
3.2. Go to the Swap menu and choose your desired crypto to pay and receive at Pay and Receive. In our example, we will buy 457 $WIFI tokens for 30 USDT on the Polygon chain.
💡 Please note that $WIFI token is only available on the Polygon blockchain. If you see a similar token on any other blockchain, note that it is not connected to WiFi Map.
3.3. Enter an amount you’d like to purchase, select Swap, and Confirm the transaction.
3.4. It might take a couple of minutes for the $WIFI tokens to arrive in your wallet. You can find your updated balance in the Home menu.
