To withdraw $WIFI to an external wallet, your tokens must first be in the Main Wallet. Below is a breakdown of how each step works:
1. Transfer from the Earn Wallet to Main Wallet
You might not see your full Earn Wallet balance if some transactions have a "pending" status. Only approved and unlocked $WIFI tokens can be transferred.
If you earn $WIFI through contributions, those tokens first go into your Earn Wallet. To withdraw these tokens, they must be moved to your Main Wallet.
2. Withdrawing $WIFI to External Wallet like MetaMask
$WIFI tokens added from exchanges or external wallets CANNOT be withdrawn and stay in your Main wallet for premium services.
You can ONLY withdraw tokens earned via contributions, tips, or the referral program.
Once tokens are in your Main Wallet, you can withdraw $WIFI to an external Polygon wallet (like MetaMask or an exchange).
Set Up MetaMask: If you haven’t already, download the MetaMask extension for your browser or the MetaMask mobile app here. Then follow the instructions to create a new wallet and securely store your seed phrase.
Connect MetaMask to the Polygon Network:
Connect Automatically
a. On polygonscan, go to the bottom of the page, and click "Add Polygon Network."
b. A MetaMask notification will appear. Click “Approve” to proceed.c. In the network dropdown list, you'll go straight to Polygon PoS Mainnet.
d. Done!
Connect Manually
a. On mobile, click the hamburger icon in the top left. Go to Settings and scroll down to Networks.
On desktop, simply click the 'Add network' button under the drop-down network menu at the top right corner.
b. Click "Add network" and fill in the following information:Network Name: Polygon Mainnet
New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com
Chain ID: 137
Currency Symbol: MATIC
Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com
c. Click “Save.”
Copy Your MetaMask Address: While on the Polygon network in MetaMask, copy your wallet address. This is the address where you will receive your funds.
Open the WiFi Map App: Navigate to the $WIFI wallet within the WiFi Map app.
Initiate Withdrawal: Tap the Withdraw button.
Enter Your MetaMask Address: Paste your Polygon address from MetaMask into the ‘Recipient’ field in the WiFi Map in-app wallet.
Specify the Amount: Enter the amount of $WIFI you wish to withdraw.
Confirm Withdrawal: Press continue to confirm the withdrawal and complete any required verification steps.
Wait for Confirmation: The transaction will be processed and confirmed on the blockchain. This may take some time depending on network congestion.
Import the $WIFI Token in MetaMask:
Open MetaMask and click on "Import Tokens" at the bottom of the Assets tab.
Search for $WIFI in the token search field.
Select $WIFI from the search results and add it to your wallet.
Check Your $WIFI Balance: Once the transaction is confirmed, you should see the $WIFI tokens in your MetaMask wallet under the Polygon network.
