Here's a checklist to make sure your community knows they can support your community space by becoming a member

☑️ 🚀 Your newsletter (1-3 hours/one-time)

You will receive a one-time launch boost by announcing your membership program in your newsletter! Highlight your new membership program as a featured section in your next newsletter.  

☑️ Your events (30 min/week)

Withfriends automatically offers your ticketbuyers an opportunity to become a member as they complete their purchase.

Withfriends ticketing - Just create an event on Withfriends, and promote it everywhere you promote your events.  If you use Facebook, add the Withfriends page for your event as the "ticket url" for your Facebook event.   

Eventbrite - Or, if you use Eventbrite, turn on our Eventbrite integration and import your events.  Ticketbuyers receive an opportunity to become a member immediately after they complete their purchase, as well as afterwards with a follow-up email reminder.

Other Ticketing Platforms - Add a blurb about becoming a member to your confirmation mails, with a link to your Withfriends memberships profile.

☑️ Your community space (15 min/day)

On Site Kiosk - Run this simple sign-up app any tablet that makes it easy for people who are interested in becoming a member to sign up via their email address or QR code

☑️ Your website (1 hour/one-time)

Add the Withfriends button to my website  - People who visit Withfriends from your website are really high value.  Your website visitors are the online audience that care about you the most (as opposed to people that encounter you on socials.).  Make sure they know about your membership program with an embedded button.

☑️ Socials ( < 5 min/day)

Testimonials - We built one-click buttons in your notifications and your membership page to make  it easy to share fresh content about your community.  Since it's so easy - consider sharing every single testimonial, and even tagging the member if you know them.  We auto-generated nice images to highlight their quotes on social media previews.

☑️ Snippets

  • Become A Member snippets - in addition to all the locations listed above, anywhere that you can add a Become A Member link will help spread the word. Here are a few locations we've seen it be successful

  • In a special ongoing section of your newsletter 

  • Repeated in the body of your event copy on socials (like Facebook), not just the ticket link 

  • Included in your ticket receipts

  • Included in your bar/merch receipts

  • In staff email signatures

  • In the bio of your social media profiles

☑️ Bonus

Use our Zapier integration to do things we haven't thought of, like automatically post to Instagram to thank every member :)
