Audacity

Audacity is a free, easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

Google Meet

Your Google Workspace administrator needs to turn on recording for your account so you can use this option.

Loom

Loom is a free screen recorder that allows you to create, edit, notate, and share videos with anyone.

Microsoft Teams

Any Teams meeting or call can be recorded for future viewing. The recording captures audio, video, and screen sharing activity, and you can share it securely across your organization.

Screencastify

Screencastify is a free Google Chrome extension and is compatible with Windows computers, Mac computers, and Chromebooks.

  • Screencastify Free allows you to record your entire desktop, an application, your current browser tab, or just your webcam. You're permitted to record videos up to 5 minutes in length. Also, a Screencastify watermark will appear in the corner of your recordings. Recordings are saved to your Google Drive folder.

ScreenPal (formerly Screencast-O-Matic)

ScreenPal is an easy-to-use free screen recorder for Windows and Mac you can use to capture any area of your screen with the option to add narration from your microphone and video from your webcam. The free version has a 15-minute time limit per recording. For $4 per month, the deluxe version allows you to add AI speech-to-text captions to your recording.

Zoom

With a Zoom account, you can open your personal meeting room, share a PowerPoint presentation or just a video of yourself, and create recordings.
