With VEED.IO, you can add subtitles to the existing videos you created. With the free version, videos must be under 10 minutes and 250MB; you are only permitted to transcribe up to 30 min/month. Note that a watermark gets added to the top of the video.

Log into VEED.IO or create a free account at VEED.IO - new window.

From the top left, click New Video, and then click Create Project.

Upload a video file or drag and drop a file in the applicable location.

Add a title for your project.

From the left menu, click Subtitles.

Click Auto Subtitle.

Select the language and then click Create Subtitles.

Click the Styles tab and select a subtitle Style (click Play to see how the style appears).

Click the Subtitles tab and edit the text as needed.

Click Export at the top right of the page.

Click Export Video.

Click Embed.

Click Copy embed code (the embed code will be saved to your clipboard).

Insert the embed code into the HTML code of a page in your course.
