Accessibility tips when editing the landing page
When creating a hyperlink in your landing page:
Use meaningful and descriptive text.
Add - opens in new tab at the end of the link text.
Underline the entire link.
Edit the font color so the link stands out. In the example below we selected HEX Color #2C82C9.
Add alternative text to any images you include in your landing page. Remember to check the copyright permissions of the image and provide attribution if required.
From the rich text editor toolbar, click Insert Image.
Locate the image you would like to include and insert it into the page. Click the image to resize it by dragging the corners in or out. Click capital T to add alternative text.
Enter your alternative text, and then click Update.
Editing the landing page
Navigate to your course in Buzz. Click the Menu icon at the top left of the page and select Activities.
If you have not yet edited your Landing Page, click ADD LANDING-PAGE CONTENT.
If your course already has Landing Page content, click the pencil icon on the right. Review the existing content in your Landing Page and edit as needed.
Enter your page content and use the rich text editor tools to apply formatting to the font; change the alignment of selected text; change the background color; insert links, images, and tables; and switch to Code View (HTML).
Click Save at the top right once you are finished editing your landing page.
