A: The major categories of a menu, or if a restaurant has multiple menus, should be re-ordered at the end of creating the menu. Please find the correct order below.

Some restaurants have several menus, usually broken into some or all of the following categories:

  • Full Menu (if there is only one, general menu for the restaurant then the first root category should be "Full Menu")

  • Breakfast

  • Brunch

  • Lunch

  • Dinner

  • Prix Fixe

  • Desserts

  • Drinks

  • Bar/Alcohol

  • Catering

The above menus or categories would generally be made into root categories (reach out to the Woflow team on Intercom if you're unsure!).ย

Be sure to check out the menu tags left by the Menu Sourcers in order to better understand the context of the menus.ย

Within each root category, the sub-categories should reflect how they are ordered on the menu.

Example: if you have a Breakfast and Lunch menu, be sure to put the Breakfast menu before Lunch (per the order listed above). Within the Breakfast menu, just follow the same order as on the actual menu.
