After you add a new restaurant to Woflow, it is important to always add its location via Google Places ID for official identification purposes. This can help so that we don't create the same restaurant twice --- if the restaurant has a new updated menu, we should add it to the same restaurant instead of creating a new one.

I. What is GPID?

  • Google Place ID is a unique identifier for a business. It connects across the various Google platforms.

II. Where can we access or find the GPID tag?

  • The restaurant for the menu must have been created in Woflow first before you can accessing the GPID.

  • Open the Woflow menu URL.

  • Click the restaurant name as seen on the image below:

III. How to update GPID?

  • Click the magic wand then possible address/location of the restaurant will appear

  • Select the correct address that matches the menu source or given address

  • Then click Save.

IV. What if the magic wand is not suggesting any address/location?

  • Another way of updating the GPID is by manually typing in the physical address in the address box. See the image below:

  • Select the address that pops up and make sure it matches the address you enter manually

  • Sometimes the phone number and website are available on the GPID. See the image below.

  • Don’t forget to click Save.

V. What if Woflow says there’s already a restaurant using the same address?

  • If that’s the case then we need to create a NEW VERSION of the MENU under the same restaurant name and GPID

  • As you can see in the example below, there are two versions of the menu for 1000 Degrees Pizza Salad Wings. One version transcribed on January 29, 2020, 2020 and another version transcribed on August 31.
