π§ Where to Start
Click on your company name in the left-hand navigation menu.
Select Organization Settings.
You will be on the Roles screen.
π Default vs. Custom Roles
Default Roles are uneditable.
While available, we do not recommend relying on them.
Instead, create custom roles for clarity and flexibility.
Click on the Add Role button to add a new user role
π§± Example Role Templates
Here are some recommended builds:
1. π§βπΌ Administrator
Administrators typically have full access to the platform.
β Permissions to Enable:
Admin Panel: Enable all modules unless you want to restrict specific tools like Timecards.
Settings: Turn all on.
Kiosk: Enable Kiosk Panel to allow launching sessions.
Mobile App:
Mobile App Access
Team Tracking
Crew Clock
Create Employee
β οΈ Geofence restrictions are usually not applied to Administrators, but can be added if needed.
Click Submit to save.
2. π₯οΈ Kiosk User
For users using Facial Recognition Kiosks.
β Permissions to Enable:
Scroll to Kiosk section.
Turn on Biometric Access.
Click Submit to save.
3. π± Mobile App User (Standard Employee)
Used for team members logging in via mobile with geofence restrictions.
β Permissions to Enable:
Scroll to Mobile App section.
Enable Mobile App Access only.
Do not give supervisory functions.
Add Geofence Restrictions for Punch In and Punch Out.
Click Submit to save.

4. π§ Mobile App Supervisor
For leads or managers who need visibility on their teams.
β Permissions to Enable:
Scroll to Mobile App section.
Enable:
Mobile App Access
Team Tracking
Click Submit to save.
π₯ Assigning a Role
Go to the Employee List.
Click the pencil icon next to the employee.
Choose the relevant User Role from the list.
Click Save.
