Updated over a week ago

Students will be able to access Writable assignments and view scores on Ed, if the teacher has assigned to an Ed roster in Writable. For more information on assigning to Ed, click here. Student writing must be completed and submitted in Writable, and detailed rubric scores and feedback, is also accessed in Writable.

Access and Submit Assignments

  1. Students login to Ed, and navigate to the Assignments tab. Students can click the Writable icon to view a list of their assignments, or navigate directly to a Writable assignment by clicking start next to an assignment on students list.

  2. Once students begin writing, the assignment will be marked In Progress for teachers on Ed. Teachers can view and monitor progress in Writable from the assignment dashboard. If students are working on HMH Curriculum assignments such as Into Literature, any work completed in the digital student textbook will sync with Ed, including annotations and written response in lesson text boxes.

  3. Once students finish writing, they can access rubrics, submit their writing, or peer reviews if assigned. Submitting the assignment in Writable, will mark the assignment complete and Ready to Grade on Ed, and move the assignment to the Done section of the students assignment list.

View Scores and Feedback

  1. Once the assignment has been graded by the teacher, students can navigate to the Scores tab on Ed to see a percentage score. Students click Review to navigate to their assignment in Writable.

  2. From their Writable assignment, students can view detailed rubric feedback left by their teacher and peers, as well as instant conference messages and audio/video feedback.
