Wudpecker offers a wide variety of recording options across different platforms and devices.

We'll split these into two categories: recording without a bot, and with a bot.

Without a bot

Our apps for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android make it possible to record meetings flexibly without a notetaker bot having to join a virtual room.

What it means for...

  • Mac and Windows: capture discussions on any virtual platform that you can think of. Wudpecker records both system and microphone audio, so it's not limited to specific services. If you're having a physical gathering, you can also record without joining a virtual meeting room.

  • iOS and Android: record on-the-go meetings where it's most practical to rely on the phone. Joining virtual platforms won't be possible but the mobile apps are meant to make it extremely easy to get AI notes even when you don't have a fancy setup.

Here's Hai showing how all of these apps work in different environments:

With a bot

This is the more typical method in the market of AI notetaking.

The bot can join only the most popular meeting platforms, and it has to be in a meeting room for anything to be captured.

A bot is able to join your virtual meetings in two ways:

  • you've connected your calendar to Wudpecker and you've set the bot to join meetings either manually or automatically

  • using the Invite Notetaker feature

The bot also needs to be admitted into the virtual room. Then, it acts like any other meeting participant, but as a blank screen.
