Social Points

What are Social Points, and how you can incorporate them to build community and engagement

Updated this week

🧩 What Are Social Points?

Social Points (SPs) are a new way to recognize and reward community engagement inside your Xperiencify forum. While XP and XXP points are typically awarded for course actions, Social Points are earned inside the community space—for creating valuable, engaging content.

🎉 How Do Students Earn Social Points?

Students earn 1 SP for every like they receive on a post or comment in the forum.

This encourages students to contribute meaningfully to the discussion and rewards them for creating content that resonates with others.

✅ Example: If a student posts a helpful comment and receives 5 likes, they'll earn 5 Social Points.

📈 How Do Students See Their Social Points?

When a student is inside the forum and earns a Social Point, they'll see a pop-up bar at the top of the screen—similar to the XP point bar they see elsewhere in your course.

The bar tracks and displays Social Points earned inside the community, separate from XP progress in your main trainings.

🚀 What's Coming in the Future?

Right now, Social Points are a standalone feature designed to reward participation in your course community.

But we’re planning future updates that will allow you to incorporate Social Points in multiple ways, including on your leaderboards.
