Your Points Store

How to create rewards, add a Store to your course, and let students redeem their points.

The Points Store is where your students actually get to spend the points they've earned. You can set up discount codes, downloadable resources, coaching calls, merchandise, or partner offers.

You create the rewards, set how many points each one costs, and drop a Store onto any page in your course. Students browse what's available, redeem items they can afford, and get their reward instantly.

NOTE: For now, the Points Store works with XPs and XXPs only.

Here's everything you need to know to set it up.

How the Points Store Works

There are three pieces to a working Store:

  • Store Items — the rewards you create and manage (name, image, cost, and what the student receives).

  • The Store block — the component you drag onto a page so students can see and redeem items.

  • The purchase flow — what happens when a student redeems: points are deducted, and the reward is delivered to them right away.

Points are tracked per course, so a Store on a page in Course A shows Course A's balance and spends Course A's points.

Creating Store Items

Go to the Store Items section in your admin area. This is where you build and manage everything you want to offer.

Click to add a new item.

Each item has:

  • Name — what the reward is called.

  • Image — a thumbnail shown to students (uploaded the same way as other images on the platform).

  • Description — a short blurb students see on the item card.

  • Cost — how many XPs the item costs to redeem.

  • Inventory limit (optional) — the total number available. When they're all claimed, the item shows as Sold Out. Leave it blank for unlimited.

Choosing a Fulfillment Type

Every item has a fulfillment type — this is what the student actually receives when they redeem. You have two options:

Code — the reward is a code (a discount code, license key, coupon, etc.). You can either:

  • Upload a batch of unique codes (via CSV or text) — each student who redeems gets a different one, assigned automatically, or

  • Enter a single universal code — everyone who redeems gets the same one.

URL / Link — the reward is a link, such as a download, a booking page, or an external resource. Everyone who redeems gets the same link.

Reordering Your Items

Want your items to appear in a specific order? In your Store Items list, you can click to drag and drop the item rows into the order you want. That order becomes the default for how items display.

Purchase Notifications

You can get an email every time a student redeems any item from your Store — handy for fulfilling rewards or just keeping an eye on activity.

In the Store Items area, find the Notifications setting and toggle purchase emails on. By default, notifications go to your admin email, but you can enter a different address — for example, a VA who handles fulfillment.

Each notification email includes:

  • The student's name

  • The student's email

  • The course name

  • The item name

  • What the student received (the code or link)

Adding the Store to Your Course

Students see the Store through the Store block, which you can add to any page in your course.

Option 1: Use the ready-made Store page template

Your course has pre-built Store page template page.. It comes with a heading and a Store block already in place, so you can add it to your course navigation and have a working Store right away.

In Step 4, find the Points Store page.

Option 2: Add the Store block to an existing page

Alternatively, in Step 4, you can drag the Store block onto any page — your homepage, a custom built page, or wherever you like.

Edit Your Store Page or Store Block

In Step 4, hover over the block to edit it, and you'll see the controls appear. Select the option to Edit Content.

In the block's settings, you'll see a searchable dropdown of all your Store Items, organized by category. Choose which items to show in this block.

NOTE: The Store block or store page needs a logged-in student to work, so it's meant for pages inside your course — not public or sales pages.

Showing Point Balances with Tokens

You can display a student's point balances anywhere on a page using tokens. These automatically fill in the correct values for whichever course the student is viewing:

  • {XPs_REDEEMABLE} — points the student has available to spend (earned minus already redeemed)

  • {XPs_EARNED} — total points the student has earned

  • {XPs_SPENT} — total points the student has redeemed

Use them wherever it's helpful — on your Store page, your homepage, a welcome message, or in emails. For example:

Welcome {FIRST_NAME}! You have {XPs_REDEEMABLE} points to spend.

What Your Students Will See

When a student opens a page with your Store block, they'll see their available balance at the top (e.g. "You have 350 points to spend"), followed by a grid of item cards showing each item's image, name, cost, and description. When you have a lot of items, students can filter by category.

  • Items they can afford are clickable.

  • Items they can't afford yet are greyed out and disabled.

  • Items that are sold out are marked Sold Out.

When a student clicks an item they can afford, a confirmation appears: "Redeem [item name] for [X] points?" with Confirm and Cancel.

On confirm, their points are deducted and the reward is delivered three ways at once:

  • On screen — a success message shows the reward. For codes, they get the code with a copy button; for links, they get a clickable link.

  • By email — the same reward details are emailed to them.

  • In their profile — the reward is saved under the My Purchases tab (more on that below).

Delivering it three ways means students can always find their reward later, which cuts down on "where's my thing?" questions to you.

If something goes wrong — they don't have enough points, or the item sold out between page load and clicking — they'll get a clear message and no points are deducted. Redemptions either go through completely or not at all.

The "My Purchases" Tab

Every reward a student redeems is saved to the My Purchases tab in their profile, under the Points section (alongside Points and Course Progress).

For each purchase, they'll see the item name, the date they redeemed it, the course, and the reward itself — a copyable code or a clickable link. This is their permanent record, so they can always come back and find a code or link even if they lost the email.

Tracking Redemptions

Every Store purchase is recorded in your activity log, labeled with the source Store. Each entry shows the item name and cost, what was delivered, the student's point balance before and after, and the student and course details — so you always have a full record of who redeemed what.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

  • Points are per course. A student earns, spends, and sees their balance separately in each course.

  • Your item list is shared across courses. You manage one set of Store Items, then choose which ones to show in each course's Store block. If you offer the same item in two courses, a student can redeem it in each one using that course's points — those are separate transactions.

  • Students can't overspend. Their balance is checked on every purchase, unaffordable items are greyed out, and there are no partial redemptions.
