Using the Lock Training / Lock Module Action
Using the Experience Engine, you can now automatically lock a Training or Module for your students based on a trigger or action inside your automation.
This gives you a direct way to control access dynamically inside your automations.
Examples for how to use it:
Reveal and hide content for an ongoing membership
Lock access to bonus content after a certain date
Create timed access windows for live programs or cohorts
Remove access to bonus or seasonal content after a promotion window closes
Build “choose your own adventure” experiences where certain trainings become unavailable based on student actions or tags
How to use it
Go to the Experience Engine (Step 5).
Open the Experience where you want the action to happen
Click to add a new Action
Select Lock Training or Lock Module
Choose the Training or Module you want to lock
Save the action
Once the automation has successfully fired, the selected Training will no longer be accessible to the student.
Important Notes
The Lock actions can be triggered by any Experience Engine trigger, including tags, points earned, button clicks, purchases, subscription changes, completed trainings, and more.
Lock and Unlock Training actions will be recorded in the student's Activity Log for you to review.
If needed, you can later re-open access using the Unlock Training or Unlock Module actions.
This feature gives you a much more flexible way to control access without needing complex visibility logic or additional workaround setups.
