Managing doors

You can manage your doors in Kube to control how they are accessed. After you add a door, you can decide whether to allow members to unlock it for bookings automatically. If allowed, members can unlock the door using their physical credentials or the Member Portal app when they have a booking in the space the door is mapped to.

NOTE: If you have not yet added your doors or need to add a new door, contact Yardi technical support for assistance.

Managing a door

  1. Select Properties in the top menu.

  2. Locate your property in the data grid and click the property's name. The Property Spaces screen appears.

  3. Select Setup in the side menu and select the Access Control tab. The Settings screen appears.

  4. Select the Door Setup tab.

  5. Locate the door in the grid and click its name.

  6. Click Edit.

  7. Edit the fields as desired. For field descriptions, see Door Screen Reference at the end of this article.

CAUTION: Do NOT modify the Lock ID field. If you need assistance with this field, contact Yardi technical support.

  8. Click Save.

TIP: The next step in the Kube access control setup process is to map doors to the spaces they belong to. For more information, see Mapping a door to a space.

Door Screen Reference

Name

Enter the name of the door.

Lock ID

Work with Yardi technical support to add the lock ID.

CAUTION: Do NOT make changes to this field.

Door Type

If Brivo is your access control provider, select the door type created in Brivo.

This option only appears if Brivo is configured as the access control provider.

Exclude from Automatic Provision

By default, when a member books a space, they can automatically unlock the door that is mapped to that space using their credentials.

Select this option if members should not automatically have unlock access to the door for a booking.

NOTE: You can configure how long before and after a booking a door can be unlocked. For more information, see Setting a property's door availability buffer time for bookings.

Allow for Multiple Spaces

Select this option if multiple spaces share the door.

Dependent Doors

Select additional doors that members can unlock when they have access to this door.

When a door is added as a dependent door, permission to unlock the current door automatically includes permission to unlock the selected dependent doors. You do not need to assign access to dependent doors separately.

EXAMPLE: If a meeting room requires entry through a front entrance, you can configure the meeting room door with the front entrance door as a dependent door. Members who can unlock the meeting room door can also unlock the front entrance door.
