When servers assign IP addresses to devices, they follow DHCP protocols and generally assign the next free IP address in the list of available IP addresses. You can use DHCP reservations to tell the server to assign a specific IP address to a device when it connects to the server. This allows you to specify the IP addresses assigned to devices such as servers, printers, and network storage to make them easier to find on a company's network.
To add a company DHCP reservation
Select Customers in the top menu and select Companies from the drop-down menu.
Locate your company in the data grid and click the company's name. The Company Overview screen appears.
Select Data/Wi-Fi in the side menu and select the Network Settings tab.
In the DHCP Reserved Devices section, click the Add button.
Complete the fields. See the end of this article for a screen reference.
Click Save.
TIP: The next step in the Kube data-Wi-Fi setup process is to configure the company firewall. For more information, see Configuring a company's firewall.
