After you activate a contract, you can make changes to the contract by amending it. There are five types of amendments:
Standard amendments are changes to the current active contract that can either be activated immediately or in the future.
Staggered amendments are future active amendments that take place in sequence with one another. Up to ten staggered amendments can be created per contract.
Slide-in amendments are amendments that are added either between the current active contract and a future amendment or between two staggered amendments.
End of term renewal amendments are created when the current contract should no longer expire, but instead renew and start a new term.
Extension amendments are used when the term of an auto renewing contract needs to be extended, but there are no changes to the contract.
TIP: To extend or reduce the contract term, create a Standard or Staggered amendment. The Reduce Term and Extend Term buttons appear in the Terms & Company menu.
This article describes creating each type of amendment.
