During the onboarding, you can choose to fill in four Email templates. You can edit them further within the Settings > Email templates tab. These email templates are used to notify customers that their return requests are received, or the return is received at the store.

Note: If you use Klaviyo for marketing emails, you can use it to send return emails using yayloh-Klaviyo integration.

Available email templates:

  1. Return request received with shipping label: This email template will be used to send emails to customers whose shipping address is in the countries where you have enabled automatic shipping label generation.

  2. Return received (without shipping labels): This email template will be used to send email to customers whose shipping address is in the countries where you have disabled automatic shipping label generation.

  3. In-store returns: This will be a return confirmation sent for all in-store returns.

  4. Customer discount notifications: This email template, including discount details, will be used to send emails to customers who have selected store credit as a refund method once the store credit is approved. This has a fixed copy text, but the branding and styles are taken from the design of the other email templates.

Note: Once the refund is processed, your OMS or email marketing provider sends an email notification to the end customer. We cannot customize these.

Personalizing & Styling the email:

You can format your email styling in terms of font size, style & placement by specifying the requirements in the HTML/MJML code. If you want further customization, you can reach out to the yayloh team.

  1. Click the drop-down menu to edit the email copy for different templates.

  2. Set a Sender email ID. The email you would like the notification to be sent from.

  3. Type in the copy text in the Plain text box.

  4. HTML/MJML code can include placeholders like Order_id or image_url to personalize information per order. These variables enable the system to send customized emails for each order automatically.

  5. Read more here if you would like a prefilled link for your customer.

  6. Click on Apply Changes, and the changes will be reflected in the code.

  7. Click on the preview button to check the preview of the email.

You similarly repeat this process for the other templates. You can change the templates over time based on new updates.

Testing the Email Notification

You can test the notification template by doing the following:

  1. Select the email template from the drop-down.

  2. Click on "send test email".

  3. In the pop-up, add the receiver's email id.

  4. Click on send.

  5. Check the inbox of the selected email ID.

Note: To test the notifications, at least one return request must be registered in yayloh.

Adding translations into other languages

Unfortunately, currently, we only have one version as the available language. You can add the translation to your email copy or use the integration with Klaviyo.
