📝 Overview
With Yoom's email trigger, you can start a Flowbot when an incoming email matches specific conditions.
Standard Method: send an email to a Yoom-generated address (e.g., ●●●●.trigger.●●●●@yoom.fun) to activate the trigger.
Alternative Method: Forward emails received in Gmail to the Yoom email address to start the trigger automatically.
🛠️ Setup Steps
Step 1 Set up the email trigger in Yoom
Open the Flowbot editing page.
Select the email trigger and configure the settings.
Do NOT configure any trigger conditions at this stage.
Copy the email address (e.g.,
●●●●.trigger.●●●●@yoom.fun
).
⚠️ If trigger conditions are set at this point, forwarded emails will not be received.
Step 2 Open Gmail Settings
Open Gmail.
Click the gear icon ⚙️ → See all Settings.
Step 3 Add the Yoom Address as the Forwarding Address
Navigate to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Click Add a forwarding address.
Enter the Yoom email address copied in Step 1.
Click Proceed.
A confirmation link will be sent to Yoom - click OK.
🔒 For security reasons, Google may request verification. Approve the request on your registered smartphone if prompted.
Step 4 Confirm the Forwarding in Yoom
Return to Yoom.
Go to the Test Email Trigger page.
Click Test to verify the forwarded email.
Wait a few moments for the forwarded email to appear (there may be a slight delay).
If the email doesn't appear, return to Gmail, resend the forwarding email, and click Test again.
Step 5 Copy the Confirmation URL & Complete Verification
In Yoom, locate the email body containing the confirmation URL.
Click the edit icon ✏️ to reveal the URL.
Copy the URL and paste it into a new browser tab.
On the confirmation page, click confirm.
Step 6 Return to Gmail & Finalize the Forwarding
Return to Gmail.
Reload the page.
Your forwarding settings are now complete!
Step 7 Configure Filters in Gmail (Optional)
To forward only specific emails to Yoom:
In Gmail, click the search bar options icon.
Set your filter conditions (e.g., sender's email, subject keywords).
Click Create Filter.
Check “Forward it to” and select the Yoom email address.
Click Create filter.
Step 8 Activate the Email Trigger in Yoom
Go back to Yoom.
Turn on the email trigger you created.
Ensure there is at least one Flowbot action set - triggers alone cannot be activated.
