Why are my callers unable to leave voicemails?

If you are receiving a "Mailbox Full" notice on your YouMail account, then you have surpassed your storage capacity. Storage space includes your Inbox, Saved folder, and any additional custom folders, so if they have surpassed the limit, your callers will receive a mailbox full notice and be unable to leave a message. Once the sum of your folders is below your account limit, you will no longer receive notice of a full inbox.

How to remove the banner

You can have the Inbox full banner removed from the account using any of the following solutions.

  • Saving important voicemails so you can make more space for new messages

  • Deleting voicemails from respective folders to below your account limit

  • Upgrading the account to allow for a larger inbox

  • Auto Cleanup will now be enabled to make space for new messages if your inbox stays full for two weeks.

Deleting voicemails

Step One:

  1. Sign in to your YouMail account here: My YouMail

  2. On the left of the screen, click on Voicemail.

  3. Toggle between the respective folders

    • Inbox

    • Saved

    • Any Custom Folders

Step Two:

  1. Select the voicemail you would like to delete by clicking the message

  2. Select the three dots in the right corner of the message

  3. From the drop-down, select Delete

  • Once under your inbox limit, your voicemail will be restored.

Bulk deleting voicemails*

Step One:

  1. Sign in to your YouMail account here: My YouMail

  2. On the left of the screen, click on Voicemail.

  3. Toggle between the respective folders

    • Inbox

    • Saved

    • Any Custom Folders

Step Two:

  1. At the top-right, you may change the 'per page' view to 50, 100, 500, etc

  2. At the top-left, tick the box beside Actions --this will tick all the messages on that page

  3. Click Actions

  4. Click Delete

*If you have deleted a message on accident, you will still be able to access it from the Trash folder.
