After playing a session on Young Heroes, you can leave a review for your DM directly from your My Games page, via a feedback email you'll receive after the session, or through a review link your DM sends you.
Reviews appear on the DM's profile within 24 hours of submission.
What is the Review Policy?
Before leaving a review, please read the full Young Heroes Review Policy.
In general, reviews must be honest, relevant to the game experience, and free of personal attacks or harmful content. Reviews that violate the policy will be removed.
Do I need an account to leave a review?
Yes, you need to make an account to leave a review, even if you are reviewing a game that took place outside of Young Heroes.
How do I leave a review from the My Games page?
Click your Profile Picture in the upper right corner of the screen
Select My Games from the dropdown menu
Find the session or campaign you want to review under your past sessions and click on its card
Click the Leave a Review button on the left-hand side of the screen
If the game you want to review is not showing there,
this option won't be available to you.
You'll need to use the Feedback Email or the GM's Review Link. ⬇️
How do I leave a review using the feedback email?
After each session, you'll receive a confirmation email prompting you to leave a review. Select a star rating (1–5) directly in the email to be taken to the full review page for your GM.
To search for the email in your inbox, look for Thanks for playing with [GM's Name]. How was your game? If you cannot find the email, check your spam folder or contact Young Heroes support for assistance.
How do I leave a review using a DM's review link?
Your DM may send you a direct review link. This is commonly used for games played outside of Young Heroes. Clicking the link will take you straight to the review page.
What does the review form include?
Once on the review page, you'll be asked to complete the following:
Star rating: Rate your DM on a scale of 1 to 5 stars 🌟
Public review: Write a short review that will be visible on the DM's profile
GM Superlatives: Select up to 3 tags that describe the DM's strengths (e.g. "Great storyteller", "Welcoming to new players"). The top 3 superlatives across all of a GM's reviews are displayed on their profile
Private feedback (optional): Leave honest feedback only your DM can see, to help them improve
Recommendation: Rate how likely you are to recommend Young Heroes to a friend on a scale of 1–10
When you're done, click the blue Submit button.
When will my review appear on the DM's profile?
Your review should appear on the GM's profile page within 24 hours of submission.
What is the difference between a verified and unverified review?
Verified reviews come from players who have paid for a session with the DM on Young Heroes. They display a blue checkmark and show the total number of paid sessions played together.
This number updates automatically as you play more sessions with the same DM. A review can also be verified if a player sends their DM a custom payment or tip of at least $5.
Unverified reviews come from free sessions, or from reviews submitted via a GM's review link (typically for games played outside of Young Heroes).
They do not show a session count or blue checkmark, but the full review text is still visible on the DM's profile and is just as valuable for helping other players.
Can I edit or delete a review I've already submitted?
To edit a review, you can leave a new review for the same DM using any of the methods above, using either:
Your My Games page
The post-session feedback email, or
Your GM's review link
Your new review will replace the previous one.
There is no self-service way to delete a review. To request a deletion, contact support via the chat below and include the DM's name and why you'd like it removed. The Support team will remove the review for you.
Is there a time limit on leaving a review?
Yes. You can leave a review up to 30 days after your most recent session with a DM.
After that window closes, the review option will no longer appear in your My Games page or feedback email.
If you've passed the 30-day window, we're unable to reopen it. There's no manual workaround. If you had a negative experience you want to report, see Reporting a User on Young Heroes.
Guidelines for Leaving Negative Reviews
If you were dissatisfied with your game session, you can leave a negative review. Here are some guidelines:
Timing: It is recommended to leave a negative review after you have left the game. Since reviews are not anonymous, posting while still in the game may reveal your identity to the DM.
Be Constructive: Provide specific feedback about your experience to help the DM improve and inform other players.
