Understanding Account Resets at YRM Prop

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Account resets provide traders the opportunity to restart a challenge or funded account after exceeding drawdown limits. This feature allows you to maintain your relationship with YRM Prop even after experiencing trading setbacks.

Reset Eligibility

You may reset your account in the following scenarios:

  • Your account has hit the maximum drawdown limit

  • Your account has exceeded the daily loss limit

  • You wish to voluntarily reset to implement a new trading strategy

Reset Fee Structure for Challenge Accounts

YRM Prop offers discounted reset fees for the first three resets per account:

Account Size

Discounted Reset Fee

Regular Reset Fee

$50K Challenge

$85

$149

$100K Challenge

$159

$249

$150K Challenge

$219

$349

After your second reset, the fee reverts to the regular monthly entry fee for that account tier.

  2. Navigate to the "My Accounts" section

  3. Select the account you wish to reset

  4. Click the "Reset Account" button

  5. Review the reset fee and terms

  6. Complete payment for the reset fee

  7. Receive new account credentials within 24 hours

Reset Account Rules

When your account is reset:

  • You receive a fresh start with the original account balance

  • Your profit target remains the same as the original challenge

  • All trading rules and parameters remain unchanged

  • Previous trading history is archived but remains visible in your dashboard

  • The minimum trading days requirement starts over

Reset Limitations

  • Discounted resets are limited to 3 per account

  • Reset requests must be submitted within 30 days of account closure

  • Accounts cannot be reset if closed due to rule violations other than drawdown limits

Strategic Considerations for Resets

Consider these factors before resetting your account:

  1. Review what went wrong - Analyze your trading mistakes before starting fresh

  2. Adjust your strategy - Use the reset as an opportunity to refine your approach

  3. Manage your capital - Budget for potential reset fees in your overall trading plan

  4. Consider account size - You may choose to reset to a smaller account size if appropriate
