đŸ©șTreatment & Ongoing Care

Your treatment is designed to grow with you. Here’s how to track your progress, manage your doses and refills, and make updates to your plan whenever your goals or schedule change. We’ll guide you every step of the way, so staying on track feels simple and stress-free.

Staying consistent with your treatment

Once you’re taking your medication - see how to give your injection - your body starts adjusting to the dose. Every body adjusts at its own pace, but what matters most is staying consistent. Regular dosing, healthy habits, and patience all work together to support safe, steady progress.

To see what progress often looks like over time, check out What to Expect During Treatment.

Here are small, practical things you can do to support your progress along the way:

  • Medication: Stay consistent with your weekly dose and schedule. Set a reminder so you never miss an injection.

  • Diet & Nutrition: Prioritize protein and hydration to support energy and fullness. Aim for balanced meals and sip water throughout the day.

  • Exercise: Focus on movement, even daily walks can make a difference. Choose activities you enjoy so it feels easy to stay active.

  • Sleep: Get at least 7 hours of sleep. Quality rest helps your body recover and supports weight management.

  • Stress: Find small ways to unwind. Deep breaths, short breaks, or a quick stretch can calm your body and keep you centered.

Over time, your provider will review your dose and treatment plan to make sure it’s still the right fit for you. If needed, they can adjust things to help your progress along.

Tracking Your Progress in the Patient Portal

Your body changes gradually while on treatment and tracking those helps to see your progress.

You can use the Add Health Records feature in your Patient Portal to log your daily or weekly:

  • Weight: Monitor your progress over time.

  • Calories: Note your caloric intake if you’re tracking nutrition.

  • Exercise: Record duration of movement, walks, or workouts.

  • Side Effects: Share any changes or symptoms so your care team can support you.

  • Notes for the Day: Add anything you’ve noticed for the day such as energy levels, appetite, mood or sleep.

Consistent tracking also helps your provider understand how treatment’s working for you and make adjustments if needed.

To access Add Health Records:

  1. From the Home Page, go to Quick Actions (upper left hand corner)

  2. Select “Add Health Records”

💡 Tip: Try logging once a week at the same time.

Tracking Your Doses in the Patient Portal

Keeping track of your doses helps you stay consistent and see how far you’ve come.

Each time you log a shot, your Patient Portal updates automatically — giving you a clear view of your treatment progress and dose history.

You can use the “Add Shot” feature to record:

  • Date and time of your injection

  • Medication and dosage strength

  • Injection site (for rotation)

  • Pain level or notes, if you’d like to track comfort or reactions

💡 Tip: Log your shot right after injecting. It’s the easiest way to keep your records complete and accurate.

How Your Refills Work

Refills are processed automatically as part of your active treatment plan. You can track it in your Patient Portal, under the Active Treatments tile on your home page. When your prescription is nearing completion, you’ll see “0 refills” displayed. At that point, you can either:

  • Complete a quick check-in questionnaire, or

  • Request a new prescription for your next treatment cycle.

Your provider reviews each check-in before renewing your prescription to keep your treatment safe and effective.

A banner notification will appear in the Patient Portal 28 days before your next refill if any action is needed to keep your shipment on track.

Should you need an early refill, just send us a quick message — our team will be happy to help.

Missing a Dose

Missed a dose? Here’s what to do to get back on schedule:

  • Within 48 hours: Take it as soon as you remember. Your new “dose day” will move to that day of the week.

Example: if you normally inject on Monday but remember on Wednesday, your new weekly day becomes Wednesday.

  • After 72 hours: Skip the missed dose and just take your next one on your usual day.

Example: if you miss your Monday dose and only remember on Friday, skip it and take your next dose the following Monday.

⚠ Don’t double up to make up for a missed dose.

Changing Your Treatment Plan

You can request changes to your treatment when needed — for example, if you’d like to switch medications or move to a longer plan.

Changing your plan length

You can update your plan length based on your needs. Patients on a monthly plan can move to a 3-month or 6-month option for greater value, while those on longer plans can return to shorter billing cycles if preferred.

Please note: 3-month plans are billed and shipped every 3 months, while 6-month plans are billed every 6 months and shipped twice — every 3 months.

Once you confirm your preferred plan length, we’ll send you a short intake form to complete. This helps your provider review and approve your updated plan safely.

Turnaround time: Most approvals are completed within 1–2 business days after the new intake is submitted. You’ll get an email notification once your updated plan is active.

Switching medications

You can also switch your medication between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide.

We’ll need you to complete a new intake form so your provider can review the change and issue a new prescription.

Turnaround time: Reviews are typically completed within 1–2 business days after the form is submitted. You’ll get an email notification once your updated plan is active.

To change your plan length or switch your medication, please contact us through your Yucca Health Patient Portal.

Please note: If your current order has already been prepared or shipped, it can’t be modified or refunded. A new order will be created under your updated plan, and a new payment will apply.

Pausing your treatment plan

If you ever need to take a break from treatment, want to adjust your timing, or simply aren’t ready for your next refill, you can do it from your patient portal. Here’s how:

  1. Click Treatment

  2. Select your treatment

  3. Choose Manage

  4. Select Pause Treatment

Pausing your plan will stop all future orders and charges until your selected restart date. You can resume anytime from the portal, as long as your prescription is still valid.

💬 If you’re considering a pause or cancel because of side effects, cost, or anything else, please let us know. We may be able to adjust your plan or share options that better support you.
