What is a 'message volley'

Updated over a year ago

In the isallyours app, the payment system for communication, referred to as a "message volley," operates on the principle of charging for each completed exchange of messages between the user and the content creator. Here's how it works:

  1. Single Exchange: If you send a message to a content creator and receive a reply, this constitutes one "message volley," and a fee is charged for this transaction.

  2. Multiple Messages from the User: You can send several messages in a row (e.g., 3 messages) without receiving a reply. Once the content creator responds to your series of messages, even with a single message, it is considered a completed "message volley," and a fee is charged.

  3. Multiple Replies from the Creator: If, after your one message, the content creator responds with multiple messages (e.g., 5 replies), this is also regarded as one "message volley," and a fee is charged.

Each New Message Initiates a New Exchange: After one exchange of messages is completed, each subsequent message you send begins a new "volley," for which a fee will again be charged after the creator's reply.

This system ensures cost transparency and allows for payment only for actual interaction with the content creator. It encourages more meaningful and thoughtful exchanges, ensuring that each charge corresponds to the value of the received response.
