Emergency Alerts is a UK government service that warns you if there's a danger to life nearby, such as severe flooding or wildfires. Alerts come from the government, not from Zable, and work on your Zable Mobile service like any other UK network.
What to expect:
Your phone makes a loud siren-like sound, even on silent, and shows a message.
You don't need to sign up, and it's free.
No one can see your phone number or location, and it doesn't use your data or allowance.
Making sure you can receive them:
Keep your phone's software up to date.
On most phones you can check by going to Settings and searching "Emergency alerts". You can turn them off, though we'd recommend leaving them on.
