Scam calls and messages are becoming more common. Information is provided below on how to stay safe while using your Zable card.

We'll never - ever - ask you for your login details, sms codes, or passwords.
Fraudsters often pretend to be Zable, asking you to share sensitive information in order to gain access to your accounts.

If you receive a telephone call, email, or text message from someone claiming to work at Zable, please remember that we would never ask you to:

  • Share an SMS verification code;

  • Forward an email with your login link; or

  • Approve a transaction in your App.

If you get a request like this, it is a scam. Do not proceed.

Some fraudsters can make their telephone number look like ours.

They may even address you by name. If our agents are on the phone to you, they will send a notification to your Zable App to prove it's really us. If they cannot do this, hang up the phone.

Stay safe on social media:

Here are 3 ways you can keep yourself safe on social media:

  • Look out for these telltale signs that a comment or message is not legitimate.

    • Poor spelling or grammar

    • The username may contain close misspellings or not be precisely the name of the person or business you expected

    • Clicking the username could show you that the profile may be empty, have no friends or followers

  • Don't click suspicious links.

    • Scammers can set up fake websites designed to steal your information.

    • Never enter your email address or other details, especially financial details like your credit card number

  • Stop, take a moment, and think.

    • If something feels off, or seems too good to be true, it probably is.

    • Scammers often try to create a sense of urgency so that you act fast.

If you've already shared information with someone suspicious:

  • Replace your card immediately in the 'More' tab of the Zable App and contact us to discuss your account security.

  • Check your transactions. If you see one that you don't recognise, raise a fraud claim in the App (select the transactions you don't recognise and tap the 'Get help' option). Our Fraud team will investigate this for you.
