ZayZoon makes team communication easy with Announcements (beta) and Polls (beta) in Employer Connect. These features are free to access from your employer portal account.

Announcements
To get started, sign in to your Employer Connect portal, select Announcements (beta) from the menu on the left , then click Activate.

Click Create Announcement.
Select your audience based on whether you want to create an announcement for all employees or a custom employee group.
To create a custom group, click Company Settings on the left navigation menu.
If you've created a custom group already, select the group(s) you'd like to send to send announcements to. You can select more than one group.
Type your message out for your team, or select one of our pre-made templates.
Click Preview Announcement to review your message before sending.
When your announcement is ready, click Send. You'll see a confirmation banner at the top of your Announcements (beta) feed.
Any employee registered with payroll will receive email notifications. Employees who have the mobile app and notifications enabled will also receive a push notification.
Announcements are featured in the Company Activity feed in the ZayZoon app.

Yes! When you create an announcement, you'll now see the Choose a Template button in the message box.
Choose from one of our general company templates or our ZayZoon-specific templates.
ZayZoon templates can let your team know about earned wage access, discounts/savings they can access, budgeting tools, and financial education resources.

All employees who are connected to payroll with an associated email will receive notifications for announcements and polls, even if they haven't signed up for ZayZoon yet.

Currently, polls and announcements cannot be pinned to the company activity feed.
The most recent poll/announcement or recognition will appear first.

Employees connected to payroll with an email address will still receive poll and announcement notifications.
They'll be able to view the first 5 items on the Company Activity Feed. They'll only need a ZayZoon account to participate in polls or comment and react to announcements.

The notifications for the ZayZoon app is a global setting - employees will get all notifications from the ZZ app, or they will not get any. At this time there isn’t a way to just turn off notifications for announcements or polls.
Group Announcements
You can create custom groups in Employer Connect and send announcements to a select group of your employees.

To create a custom group for an announcement:
Log in to Employer Connect.
Select Company Settings in the left navigation bar, then click Create a Group.
Name your group, then click Save group. A pop-up window will appear for you to select employees.
Search by employee name and select which employees you'd like to add to your custom group. Click Save group to save or click Cancel to start over.
Once you've saved the group, you'll be taken to the Edit employee group page, where you can:
Update the group name
Add employees to the group
Remove employees from the group
To view all groups, click Company Settings. From this page, you'll be able to add members to a group or delete groups.
Select Announcements from the left navigation bar to start sending your group announcements.

Employees can be part of more than one group, but they will only be notified once.

Yes, employee groups are saved to the company settings in Employer Connect. All administrators have view and edit access to created groups.

Yes! Administrators can select several groups for the same announcement.

On your company feed in Announcements, you and your employees will be able to see that the announcement was sent to a limited audience.
However, you won’t be able to see which audiences were sent the message.

Polls
To get started, sign in to your Employer Connect portal, navigate to Polls (beta) in the side menu, then click Activate Polls.

To send polls, sign in to your Employer Connect portal, then click Polls (beta) from the side menu.
2. Write your poll question or statement. Currently, you can provide up to 5 choices in a poll.
Questions have a 250 maximum character limit and choices have a 50 character limit.
3. Click Preview Poll to view your poll preview. Click Cancel to keep editing, or click Send once it's good to go.
Once sent, any employee registered with payroll will receive an email notification. Employees who have the mobile app and notifications enabled will also receive a push notification.
The Announcements (beta) feed will show your previously posted polls and employee votes. Results are anonymous and automatically sorted by vote count.
Polls will be featured in the Company Activity feed in the ZayZoon app.

You won't be able to edit your poll, but you can delete it shortly after sending.
The email and push notifications sent to employees don't provide message previews. They might know a poll was sent but they won't be able to see it once it has been deleted.

No, at this time polls are fully anonymous. You won't be able to see who selected each answer. However, you can see the total number of responses and the spread of results across choices.

Employees can only vote once for an option but they can change their vote at any time by selecting a different option.

Once you send your poll, it'll be sent immediately.
We don't currently provide the option to schedule polls for a later time, but stay tuned!

Not at this time. Polls can be seen and voted on by all employees connected to payroll with a ZayZoon account.
