Find answers to frequently asked questions about the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card program (currently only available to U.S customers).

What is the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Dashboard?

How do I check my card balance?

You can view your balance by logging into the ZayZoon mobile app or on the website here.

There is a ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card tile on the dashboard that displays your balance, card status, and recent transactions. You can also view the balance from the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card menu item.

Where can I use my card?

You can use your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card anywhere debit Visa® is accepted, with the exception of the following (due to Prepaid Card restrictions nationally):

  • Pay at the pump (please pay inside at the gas station)

  • Quasi-cash (e.g. money orders, MoneySend)

  • Internet gaming

  • Gambling transactions

  • Government-owned lottery

  • Government-owned horse or dog racing

Can I use my card at ATMs?

Yes, your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card can be used with ATMs. ATM operator may charge a separate fee. Fees may apply. See the Cardholder Agreement for more details.

Are there any fees I'm responsible for?

There are no fees to access your earned wages via the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card, nor are there any maintenance fees. There are some general card fees that apply:

  • Card replacement fee - $4.95

  • ATM withdrawal fee - $2.50

  • ATM decline fee - $1.00

  • ATM balance inquiry fee - $0.50

    • To avoid this fee, check your card's balance on the ZayZoon app or site.

  • Cash reload fee - $3.95

    • To avoid this fee, use direct deposit or earned wage access to put funds on your card.

Can I use a P.O. Box for my address?

No, you are unable to use a P.O. Box as the physical address for your ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card. You must use a residential address.

How old do I need to be to get a ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card?

You need to be 18 years of age or older to get a ZayZoon VISA® Prepaid Card.

What happens when my card expires?

Funds loaded on the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card will never expire. The physical card will expire just like any standard debit or credit card.

In the event your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card physical card expires, contact the number on the back of the card for a replacement. Replacement details can also be found in your Cardholder Agreement.

Why was my card declined?

A purchase with the ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card may be declined if the authorization amount exceeds the available balance. If a transaction is declined, you can easily check the available balance on the dashboard in your ZayZoon App.

If you are purchasing online, a website must take more than one form of payment if the purchase exceeds the balance on the card. For transactions made over the phone or online, you will need to ensure that you are entering in the billing address that matches your ZayZoon account.

What if my card is lost or stolen?

If your card is lost or stolen, please contact Cardholder Services at 1 (833) 660-1060 immediately to lock the funds and to replace the lost card.

Can ACH Deposits be sent to my ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account?

You can arrange for your paycheck, government benefits payment, tax refund, or other electronic funds transfer direct deposited to your Card Account using the Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) system (“ACH Deposit”).

In order to receive ACH Deposits, you must provide the Routing Number and Account Number as described here. You should never share this information with anyone who is not authorized to credit your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account.

Can I get a tax refund on my ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card?

Yes, you can arrange for your tax refund to be direct deposited to your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account. In order to receive ACH Deposit value loads you must provide the Routing Number and Account Number as described here.

You should never share this information with anyone who is not authorized to credit your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account.

Note that there is a $3,000 deposit limit in place temporarily until you receive your physical card and activate it (i.e. within the 7-10 business day window after enrolling).

For an active ZayZoon Card, the maximum cumulative daily deposit limit is $5,000. If your anticipated tax refund amount exceeds the amount of $5,000, you should plan to receive your tax refund by check or to a direct deposit account.

Can an ACH Deposit submitted to my account be rejected?

Yes, if the ACH transaction exceeds the maximum daily limit the ACH could be returned. In that event, you would need to contact the sender of the funds to make alternative arrangements. Please refer to your Cardholder Agreement for limit details.

How can I stop ACH Deposits from being applied to my card account?

In order to stop ACH Deposit value loads on to your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account, you must contact your Payer(s) to notify them to stop making such ACH Deposits.

What type of Deposits are not accepted with my ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account?

The following types of deposits will not be accepted:

  • checks

  • money orders

  • cash mailed for deposit

  • inbound wire transfers to your account number

What happens to my funds if I cancel my account?

Before canceling your ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card Account, you may use an approved method to remove the funds by completing an ATM withdrawal or making purchases.

What happens if I leave my job?

The ZayZoon Visa® Prepaid Card is portable, meaning you can bring the ZayZoon card with you to their next job. You can also use it now if you already have a second job.

If your future employer provides ZayZoon, you will be able to continue to redeem your earned wages fee-free onto the card. Contact ZayZoon Support if you need assistance setting this up.

If your future employer does not provide ZayZoon, you will be able to continue to use the card but you will no longer be able to access your earned wages early using ZayZoon payouts.
