Teli AI is an AI-powered sales engagement platform that automates calling and SMS campaigns. By integrating Zeeg with Teli AI through Zapier, you can automatically add scheduled meeting participants to calling campaigns, qualify leads through SMS conversations, and trigger follow-up workflows based on your Zeeg appointments. This integration eliminates manual data entry and ensures every scheduled appointment flows seamlessly into your sales engagement process.

The Teli AI integration is available with the Professional subscription and higher and requires an active Zapier account. Teli AI and Zapier have separate pricing plans that apply in addition to your Zeeg subscription.

How the Teli AI integration works

When someone schedules or cancels a Zeeg appointment, Zapier can trigger automated actions in Teli AI based on the event.

Available Zeeg triggers for Teli AI:

  • Appointment scheduled: Triggered when a participant schedules an appointment

  • Appointment cancelled: Triggered when a participant cancels an appointment

Available Teli AI actions you can automate:

  • Add lead to campaign: Automatically add scheduled meeting participants to active Teli AI calling campaigns

  • Upload lead to lead group: Organize leads into specific groups in your Teli AI account for targeted outreach

  • Qualified SMS contact: Trigger SMS workflows when appointments are scheduled or qualified

Common use cases

Automatically add scheduled leads to calling campaigns

When a prospect schedules a discovery call through Zeeg, automatically add them to a pre-call qualification campaign in Teli AI that runs before the scheduled meeting.

Example workflow:

  1. Prospect books a demo through your Zeeg scheduling page

  2. Zapier detects the "Appointment scheduled" trigger

  3. Contact is automatically added to your "Pre-Demo Qualification" campaign in Teli AI

  4. Teli AI calls the prospect 24 hours before the meeting to confirm attendance

Trigger follow-up campaigns after cancelled appointments

When someone cancels a meeting, automatically add them to a re-engagement campaign to reschedule.

Example workflow:

  1. Scheduled meeting is cancelled

  2. Zapier detects the "Appointment cancelled" trigger

  3. Contact is added to a "Reschedule Campaign" in Teli AI

  4. Teli AI initiates SMS or call sequences to re-engage and reschedule

Organize leads into targeted groups

Segment your scheduled appointments into different lead groups based on the scheduling page they booked through.

Example workflow:

  1. Lead schedules through your "Enterprise Demo" scheduling page

  2. Zapier adds them to the "Enterprise Prospects" lead group in Teli AI

  3. Different lead groups receive customized calling scripts and follow-up sequences

Managing your Teli AI integration

Monitoring your Zaps

  1. In Zapier, navigate to Zap History on the left sidebar to view all triggered actions

  2. Review successful runs and any errors

  3. Click on individual Zap runs to see detailed logs

  4. Set up email notifications in Zapier to alert you of failures

Pausing or editing your Zap

If you need to temporarily disable or modify your integration:

  1. Go to your Zapier dashboard

  2. Find your Zeeg to Teli AI Zap

  3. Click the toggle switch to turn it Off (pause)

  4. Or click Edit to modify trigger conditions or action settings

  5. Remember to turn your Zap back On after making changes

Creating multiple Zaps for different scenarios

You can create multiple Zaps for different scheduling pages or workflows:

  • Enterprise demos → Add to "Enterprise Campaign"

  • SMB consultations → Add to "SMB Campaign"

  • Cancelled appointments → Add to "Re-engagement Campaign"

Each Zap operates independently, allowing you to customize your sales engagement process per appointment type.

Zeeg accounts with an organization

Important: If you have a Zeeg organization, Zapier behavior depends on your role and which API key you use.

Zaps are triggered for:

  • Owner or Administrator: All scheduled appointments in your entire organization

  • User: Only appointments scheduled for that specific user

Recommendation: Do not connect with an Owner or Administrator API key if you don't want Zaps triggered for all events in your Zeeg organization. Instead, have individual users connect their own API keys for user-specific automations.

Troubleshooting

My Zap isn't triggering

Possible solutions:

  • Verify your Zap is turned On in Zapier

  • Check that your Zeeg API key is correctly entered

  • Ensure you're testing with new appointments created after the Zap was activated

  • Review Zapier's task history for error messages

  • Confirm your Zapier plan has available tasks remaining

Leads aren't appearing in Teli AI

Possible solutions:

  • Verify you're logged into the correct Teli AI account

  • Check that the selected campaign or lead group exists and is active

  • Ensure required fields (name, email, phone) have data from Zeeg

  • Review field mappings in your Zap configuration

  • Check Teli AI for duplicate contact rules that might be blocking imports

Phone numbers aren't formatted correctly

Solution: Teli AI requires phone numbers in a specific format. In your Zap, add a Formatter by Zapier step between Zeeg and Teli AI to format phone numbers consistently:

  1. Add a Formatter step after the Zeeg trigger

  2. Choose Numbers as the formatter type

  3. Select Format Phone Number

  4. Map the Zeeg phone number field

  5. Then use the formatted number in your Teli AI action

Duplicate leads are being created

Solution: Teli AI may create duplicate entries if contacts reschedule or book multiple appointments:

  • Configure Teli AI's duplicate detection settings

  • Use Zapier's Filter feature to only trigger for first-time bookers

  • Add a Formatter by Zapier step to check for existing leads before adding

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this integration without a Business subscription?

No, the Zapier integration requires a Zeeg Business subscription or higher.

Does this work with group appointments or round-robin scheduling?

Yes, the integration works with all Zeeg scheduling page types. When a participant books a group appointment or a round-robin event, their information is sent to Teli AI.

Can I send different leads to different Teli AI campaigns?

Yes, create separate Zaps for each scenario:

  • Zap 1: Enterprise Demo scheduling page → Enterprise Campaign

  • Zap 2: Standard Demo scheduling page → Standard Campaign

  • Zap 3: Cancelled appointments → Re-engagement Campaign

What happens if someone reschedules an appointment?

A rescheduled appointment counts as a cancellation followed by a new booking. If you have Zaps for both "Appointment scheduled" and "Appointment cancelled," both will trigger. Consider using Zapier Filters to manage this behavior.

Are there any limits on the number of Zaps I can create?

Zapier limits depend on your Zapier plan, not your Zeeg subscription. Check Zapier's pricing for details on Zap limits.

Can I track when Teli AI successfully contacts a lead?

Teli AI's Zapier triggers include "Completed Call Data" and "Qualified SMS Contact" which you can use to send information back to Zeeg CRM or other apps when calls are completed or SMS conversations are qualified.
