To see these pages:

  1. Go to your "My Projects" page.

  2. Click the "Posted Projects" tab.

  3. Find the project that you're interested in exploring from the list and click on it.

Intro Box

In the box at the top of the page - what we call the "Intro Box" - you'll find some of the most basic information about the project:

  • Project Title

  • Posted Date - The day the client posted the project.

  • Budget - The budget you proposed for the project. Freelancers can submit an alternative budget when they send their project proposals, which you can accept or decline.

  • Due Date - Clients can optionally include a due date for their projects.

  • 'Posted Project' Status - All your projects on your "My Projects" page have statuses indicating their level of development. A "Posted Project" is one which has been posted and is available for freelancers to find or be invited to, but hasn't been given to a freelancer yet.

Just below the intro box on the right side, you'll also see two buttons.

  • Edit Project Details - The button on the left, with the blue pencil icon, is the "Edit" button. Click here to change the details of the project post.

  • Delete Project Post - The button on the right with the orange trashcan icon is the "Delete" button. Click here to delete the whole project post. (This cannot be undone.)

Project Details Tab

All of these items should be familiar to the client, since he selected them when posting the project in the first place.

  • Project Description - An in-depth description of the work this project involves.

  • Budget - How much the client is willing to pay on an hourly rate or for the completion of the project.

  • Payment Structure - Whether the fee for this project will be paid in an hourly structure or in a project-based model.

  • Skills - These are the skills the client wants the freelancer to have in order to complete the project.

  • Preferred Freelancer Location - Where the client prefers the freelancer lives. Freelancers from outside the selected region can still send proposals.

  • Delivery Time - An approximate range of when the client wants the project to be finished.

  • Expected Hours Required - The client's estimation of how long he thinks the project should take. If the client doesn't know how long it will take, or anticipates it will take many weeks or months, they'll select "Ongoing Project" for this field.

  • Language - This is the language the client needs the freelancer to speak in order to do the project together.

Proposals Tab

Under this tab, the client can consider all of the freelancers who have sent proposals for this project. You'll see a list of long thumbnails - what we call "banners" - which display some basic information about the freelancer, including:

  • Basics - The freelancer's name and profile photo. Click on the freelancer's name to see their profile page.

  • Agency box - If the account is an agency account, you'll see a blue box that reads "Agency." An agency account is one that represents a group or company rather than an individual.

  • Headline - Below the freelancer's name will be his "headline," which is like a slogan, tagline, or another basic intro of what he does professionally.

  • Location - Where the freelancer lives.

  • Average Rating - After every project, a client is asked to rate how their experience was with the freelancer, on a scale from 1-5 stars. This box will also show how many ratings the freelancer has received to create that average.

  • Skills - The skills the freelancer intends to offer as a service are listed here.

  • Proposed Budget - On the top-right of the banner, you'll see the budget the freelancer is proposing. Note that they may be making a different proposal from what you posted.

The most important part of these banners of course is the "View Proposal" button. Click here to see a pop-up with the details of the freelancer's proposal. When you're ready to put aside all other proposals and hire a freelancer, click the "Accept Proposal" button in the pop-up window.
