When a freelancer submits a milestone proposal in a project-based project, he still has time to edit or cancel it while it still has the "Milestone Proposal Pending" status, ie - before the client has accepted the proposal and deposited the payment.

To edit or cancel a proposal, visit the "Milestones" tab of the project in question. Find the milestone you would like to modify from the list.

Next to the "Milestone Proposal Pending" status, you'll see an icon with three vertical dots in it. Click that to see the "Edit proposal" and "Cancel proposal" options.

When you click the "Edit" option, you'll be able to change any of the four parts of the milestone proposal - the title, amount, milestone description, and due date. When you're finished, click the "Save Changes" button.

When you click the "Cancel" option, the proposal will be withdrawn. There will be a record of it, marked with the status "Canceled by Freelancer."
