This article will explain how you can access and upload your leads into your account that may have been missed if you did not have your Facebook lead form mapped in your platform.

If you have launched your ads and you did not map your lead form in your account, these leads will not come through to your account and will need to be manually uploaded.

To find out how to map your lead form in your account, you can watch this video.

To upload these missed leads into your account, follow the below steps:

  1. Login to your Facebook account and go into your Facebook page

  2. Under the left hand side ‘Manage Page’ menu, click into ‘Leads Center’

  3. In the Leads Center, click on the ‘Forms’ dropdown and select the form connected to the ad that was not mapped

  4. Click on the ‘Select Dates’ box and select the dates from which your ad started running to the current date. This will ensure you pick up all leads since the creation of the ad (Note: if your leads don’t load here, you can find them in your ads manager by clicking on that specific campaign and downloading from there)

  5. Click on the download arrow at the top right of the screen. This will then export all of these leads into a CSV file

  6. Open the CSV file and delete all columns except for Name, Phone Number and Email and save to your computer

  7. Click into the ‘contacts’ tab into your account and click on the ‘Import Contacts’ action

  8. Upload your CSV file and click on next

  9. Ensure the column header from file column is mapping correctly to the contact fields column. Name > Name, Email > Email, Phone > Phone. Once this is mapped correctly, click next

  10. You then want to click on the ‘advanced’ dropdown. Under ‘What do you want to do with contact/s in the .csv file?’, change this to ‘Add New Contact Records’

  11. You then want to ‘skip existing contacts based on Email’ and set a secondary preference as ‘Phone’

  12. You then want to add a tag like ‘Missed FB Leads’ so you can filter out these leads based on this tag

  13. Click submit

  14. Click on the ‘more filters’ tab to the right of the screen and select ‘tag’

  15. You can then search the tag ‘Missed FB Leads’ and click apply. This will then filter out these contacts

  16. You can then select all of these contacts and add them to the workflow you would like to add them to by clicking on the robot icon

  17. Select the workflow and type in an action (e.g. missed Facebook leads)

  18. Click Add to Campaign / Workflow

  19. All of your missed leads will now be in your account as an opportunity and will be receiving the automations based on the workflow you just added them to.
