How to Add Documents as Attachments

How to add documents as attachments in your Zylpha bundle.

Updated this week

You are able to add documents as attachments to your Zylpha bundle, which functions much like an attachment to an e-mail. This means that the document will not be converted into a PDF, but will still appear in the bundle index and will be attached to the bundle, allowing you to open the file with the click of a button. This can be useful for a number of reasons, for example, if you need to add an Excel document to your bundle, but need to retain the Excel functionality for your recipient. Please note: Zylpha does this automatically for audio and video files.

To add a document as an attachment, first find the document in the documents pane and left-click to select it (you will know it's selected when it is highlighted in grey). You will then need to open the "Properties Explorer" panel on the right hand side of the bundling application.

Now that you have the "Properties Explorer" open, you are able to see all of the properties for that document. To set this document to add as an attachment, tick the "Add as attachment" tickbox located near the bottom of the list of properties.

Now that the document is set to be added as an attachment, the bundle now needs to be generated. As you can see in the screenshots below, the document is still visible in the index. The document will only be one page in the index regardless of the size of the document as the pagination is applied to the placeholder page shown below.

Zylpha will also create a placeholder page for the document, which includes a hyperlinked button to open the document.
