Welcome to Awarded AI's Quick Start Guide for selecting the ideal AI model to enhance your capture management and proposal response processes.

Introduction

In the fast-paced world of government contracting, choosing the right AI model can significantly streamline your workflow and improve the quality of your proposals. Awarded AI offers a suite of powerful AI models, each tailored to meet specific needs. This guide will assist you in selecting the best model for your particular use case.

Who Can Access Awarded’s Model Selector?

Currently, all clients on commercial tenants are able to access the model selector within their AI Chat tool by default. They can access all OpenAI, Anthropic, x.AI, and Google models. The Cohere and OpenRouter models are currently in Beta testing internally and will automatically be pushed to commercial clients once they are publicly available.

All clients on government tenants are not able to access the model selector by default due to security restrictions on this type of tenant. Additional models outside of GPT 4o (our default model – Azure gov version built specifically for our gov customers) might send data through channels not shown in our current diagrams and might go beyond the boundaries we've already committed to in our Azure Government setup. Though your data is not stored persistently nor used to train, improve, or diagnose any model or system used except for valid legal enforcement or abuse detection, we do need written permission from each government client who wishes to opt in to Awarded’s model selector. Please contact your dedicated CSM for more information. Once a government client opts in to the model selector, they will have access to the following models:

  • OpenAI GPT-4.0

  • OpenAI GPT-4.1

  • OpenAI o3-mini

  • Google Gemini Family (2.5 Exp Pro, 2.5 Flash)

  • Anthropic Claude 3.7 Sonnet

  • Anthropic Claude 4 Sonnet

  • Grok 3-0

  • Grok 4-0

Tips for Effective Use

  • Consistency is Key: For the best results, avoid changing the AI model mid-session. Consistency helps maintain coherence and style throughout your document.

  • Understand Your Needs: Clearly define your task before selecting a model. Knowing whether you need creativity, detail, speed, or conciseness will guide your choice.

  • Experiment and Learn: While this guide offers suggestions, experimenting with different models can help you find the best fit for your unique needs and preferences.

  • Stay Updated: AI models are continually improving. Stay informed about updates and enhancements to leverage the latest capabilities.

By selecting the right AI model, you can enhance your proposal development process, improve the quality of your submissions, and ultimately increase your success rate in securing government contracts. Use this guide to make informed decisions and optimize your use of Awarded AI.

DISCLAIMER: Regardless of the model you use, always verify the outputs are accurate for your purpose as model outputs may sound convincing when generating factual information.
