Accessing AI Chat
Opening AI Chat:
AI Chat can be found on the main screen or in the top left-hand corner.
Using AI Chat
Chat History and New Chats:
Upon opening, you can view your previous AI Chat history or create a new AI Chat.
AI Chat operates as a conversational chatbot where you can input various questions and receive quick responses.
Conversation Starters:
Below the welcome message, you'll find conversation starters that can prompt the AI to walk you through its capabilities or help you get started.
Prompting the AI
Typing a Query:
Start using the AI Chat by directly typing your query or task into the messenger.
This is referred to as prompting.
Effective Prompting:
For better results, remember that the more specific and detailed the prompt, the better the response.
If you need help with a prompt, our CSM team is here to assist you. Message them at any time for help.
Sending a Prompt:
When ready, press the send button to submit your prompt.
The AI will start responding to your instructions.
Handling AI Responses
Post-Response Options:
Once the response is complete, you can:
Send your response to the AI Drafter.
Copy your response to your clipboard.
Regenerate the response if you're not satisfied with the results.
Follow-Up Prompts:
Depending on the specificity of your initial prompt, the AI Chat will do its best to complete your task fully.
Often, follow-up prompts can generate a more elaborate response.
Managing Responses
Expanding Responses:
Ask the tool to expand on parts of its last answer by copying and pasting it after a simple follow-up prompt.
The tool will provide more specific details in its response.
Copying and Drafting:
Click the copy icon to copy your message to your personal clipboard.
Click send to draft to either send it to an existing saved draft or create a new one.
View your drafts in the chat history or by clicking the AI draft icon on the toolbar.
Chat Settings
Accessing Chat Settings:
Click on the chat settings button to access quick text editing prompts.
Options include summarizing, requesting a rewrite, and more.
Setting Persona and Tone:
Set the AI Chat to take on a particular professional role using the Persona settings.
Adjust the point of view or writing style using the Tone settings.
Formatting and Language:
Set how your responses are output using the Format settings.
Adjust the vernacular, characters, and spelling using the Language settings.
These settings will remain in effect until you change them or start a new AI Chat.
Using Saved Prompts:
Create and save new prompts or utilize saved prompts by clicking on Prompts underneath the chat window.
Working with Files
Attaching Files:
Attach your own data, documents, and files to the chat session by clicking Attach Files.
Use the upload tool to browse or drag and drop files from your computer.
File Viewer:
Work directly alongside your uploaded files by selecting the File Viewer in the top right of your screen.
Copy information from the document and paste it into the chat for analysis and summary.
Managing AI Assistants
Changing AI Assistants:
Select a different assistant above the chat.
The CSM team will publish new AI assistants, and you can request a customized AI assistant by reaching out to the team.
Locating Chat and Draft History:
Use the expand and collapse icons on the left to locate your AI Chat and draft history.
