How do I start a new chat session?

To start a new chat session, simply click "New AI Session" and then select "New Chat."

Why does Awarded AI sometimes time out or cut off during long responses?

Awarded AI may time out or cut off during long responses due to processing limits and character constraints. The system has a maximum number of tokens (which include words, parts of words, and punctuation) it can handle in a single response. If the request is too complex or exceeds these limits, the response might be incomplete. Additionally, high server load or connection issues can occasionally contribute to timeouts. To avoid this, try breaking your query into smaller parts or simplifying your request.

If I ask Awarded AI to continue a response, will it correctly incorporate the initial data and context?

Yes, if you ask Awarded AI to continue a response, it will generally take into account the data and context from the initial response and the conversation so far. However, it’s important to note that while Awarded AI does a good job of maintaining context, it may not always perfectly capture every detail from prior responses, especially in longer or complex interactions. For the best results, it can be helpful to restate key points or provide a brief summary of the most important information to ensure continuity.

How can I find my prior chat sessions with Awarded AI?

To find your prior chat sessions with Awarded AI, you can navigate to the conversation history section in the Awarded AI interface. Typically, this is displayed as a sidebar or a menu option labeled "History."

What is the File Viewer?

The file viewer allows users to work along side a file while chatting with the AI. For example, if a user wants to chat with the AI about a PWS, they can view the PWS during their session with the file viewer. Please note that the AI Chat cannot read a file that is open in the file viewer. In order for the AI to utilize files in generating responses, the files must be attached to the chat.

How can I attach files for Awarded AI, and what kind of files can the AI read?

To attach files for Awarded AI, use the "Attach Files" button in the chat interface. Awarded AI can read and analyze various file types, including text documents (like .txt, .docx), spreadsheets (.csv, .xlsx), and PDFs. The AI can extract and process information from these files to help answer questions or perform tasks related to the file content.

However, the AI's ability to read and interpret data depends on the content and structure of the file. For instance, if a file contains tables, graphs, or complex formatting, it may not fully interpret all elements correctly. When attaching files, it's helpful to provide context or specific instructions on what you need from the file to get the most accurate assistance.

To view attached items click on "X items attached." A window will pop up with a list of the attached files. The copy to clipboard that appears next to each item is useful for copying the file name into the chatbox to ask the AI about a particular file.

How do I access the Prompt Library?

The Prompt Library can be found at the bottom of the page next to Attach Files. There are over 163 featured prompts that are pre-built and ready to help get any user started. You can also create your own private prompts or share them with your team.

How do I change the name of a work session?

Open the history panel on the left-hand side of your screen then hover your mouse over the work session you would like to rename and click on the pen icon that appears. An “Update Chat” window will appear. Edit your chat title and then click enter.

What is semantic search?

A semantic search is when a user selects and attaches a file to their Chat bar and prompts the AI with a very detailed and specific prompt to instruct the AI on what exactly they are asking the AI to do. This method instructs the AI to search and use any information from the selected files that correlates with the instructions it was given.

What is direct injection prompting?

Direct injection prompting is essentially copying a specific section of a solicitation and pasting it into the chat. Provide the AI with instructions on what you want the AI to do with the specific section. This type of prompting gives the AI more detail to ensure that the response is directly correlated to the selected section of the solicitation. Using this method allows a user to prompt the AI with more simple instructions.

What are citations?

When a user attaches files to their AI Chat session, the AI can then use those files to inform its response. For example, a user could attach past performances and ask the AI to explain why a particular past performance is better for including in your proposal for an opportunity. The chat will then provide a list of citations to show the user what information it pulled from to make that determination. This enables users to verify. The AI Chat function will provide citations when it uses selected files to inform its outputs. This allows the user to verify the AI response.

Pro Tip: If you cannot tell whether or not the AI Chat incorporated the attached files in generating a response, check for citations. If there aren't citations that means the AI did not reference the attached files.

When should I use the Web Search toggle?

Web Search should be used when you need to find any data current from November 2023-present. This will allow the AI to scrape the web to provide you with live points that can help provide you with the most recent data. You should not use Web Search when you have your own files attached. By default, the AI will disable your files so that the internet does not have access to your internal data.

What does the "Settings" tab in the chat box do and how can I utilize it?

The Settings tab allows users to change how the AI responds to you. This can be done by utilizing the Text to Edit option, changing the tone of voice the AI uses, a specific persona you want the AI to use, a certain format that you would like your response to be in, as well as changing the language the AI uses.

How do I send an AI generated response to AI Draft?

There are a few different methods to send any particular response from the AI from Chat to Draft. You can either just ‘copy’ all the text you want to send to draft, then ‘paste’ the selected text into a new AI Draft session or utilize the three icons at the bottom left of every response back from the AI. The first option is ‘Send to Draft,’ which will automatically send the text to a new Draft session. The second option is ‘Copy’ so you can easily copy and paste into a new Draft session. The third and final icon is an option to regenerate the response if you would like a different version of the response.
