What is Player Discovery?
Player Discovery is where college coaches and scouts find players on Stacks. Every MLBU BASE session you've taken is already on your Stacks profile, so there's nothing to upload. A coach finds your profile and sends a follow request, and you decide whether to accept.
What can coaches see before I accept?
Coaches can see your basic profile info: location, graduation year, high school, travel team, handedness, positions, competition level, height and weight. Your metrics and contact information stay private until you accept their request.
If you took MLBU BASE at an event where the organization shares results with coaches, like the Area Code Games, coaches can see those results before you accept. Your contact information still stays private until you approve.
What happens when I accept?
The coach can view your training sessions, metrics and percentiles, see your contact information and follow your development as new data is added.
Where do I manage coach requests?
Open My Coach Connections from the side menu.
Use the three tabs:
Connected Coaches: Coaches you've approved.
Requests: Requests waiting for your answer. Approve or reject each one.
History: A record of every request you've received.
Can I remove a coach later?
Yes. Go to Connected Coaches and remove the coach anytime. They lose access to your data, and we'll let them know.
Tips
Keep your profile up to date. Your position, graduation year and high school are what coaches see first.
Watch your email, including your spam folder, so you don't miss a request.
Keep taking MLBU BASE. Coaches can see how you develop over time.
